The EC funded Information and Communication Technology for Improving Education, Diversification and Competitiveness Project is designed “to foster the diversification and competitiveness of the economy to enable it to contribute to the economic and social development of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis”.
The Project’s purpose is to foster the development of a vibrant and sustainable IT Sector in St. Kitts and Nevis through an increased adoption of ICT by the strategic sectors (such as agro-processing, SMEs, tourism, financial services, etc.), a developed ICT service industry, empowerment of social groups, communities, and individuals and support for an ICT driven public sector reform.
The consultancy includes technical assistance to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis with planning, coordination, management and supervision of the project activities specifically in the areas of ICT strategies development, business development support to the key players of the ICT sector, design of ICT strategic implementation plans for the sectors of national importance, promotion of eBusiness and eGovernment and awareness raising of the challenges and opportunities of ICT.
